Default Reciever with rusted in hitch....

I finally got the pin case cut off because there was a key case on it, but i cant get it out because the hitch is rusted in. I tried to do a search to find my old post about it. But i couldnt find it. How did you guys get yours out if you have done this before? Or if you have any ideas, can you please share them?

Thanks.

you need tp soak it with pb blaster and let it sit. after 1/2 hour smack it gently with a hammer and it will break free

I have a similar issue with mine, but its not from rusting. Bottomed the hitch out and it slightly bent the tube pinching the draw bar in the hitch. Sometimes its just easier to buy a new receiver instead of trying to fix the one you have.

I had the same problem in my 79 F250. I just kept hitting it with a sledge hammer back and forth and it finally came out. but DO NOT wrap a chainaround it from a tree... I tried that and broke acouple stuff in the process.

Ha, what about having somebody pulling really slow on it with another truck? My friend did that and he said it worked.

thats what we done with my dually- flooded it in PB blaster, took a 5 pound sledge to it, then grabbed a tow strap, bent it around the ball at halfway, and had 2 people pull therope the same direction. Finally come out.

I got my rusted inhitch out today. I hooked one end up to the hitch and the other to the tree, and hit it. Took a couple tugs, but i got it. And i didnt break anything.
