Default Tranny and Shift kits

Well when my tranny was rebuilt a shift kit was put in. The problem is that sometimes i will be going 80 and it will want to kick down into 1st gear... This is because of the shift kit right? Just wanted to know. Im pretty sure they allow you to kick down into any gear at any speed.

from 80, it should kick down to 3rd, possibly 2nd depending on how the kit is designed.

I doubt it is going for 1st, maybe down too much, but not 1st.

you probably just need a band or TV adjustment.

first gear is a 3.00:1 or something deep liek that. It wont go that low. But 2nd down is a 1.67 and 2nd up is a 1.50..those are what it might be goin for (assuming you have a x45RFE)
