Mine pulls hard up to redline. I have a Jet performance chip, K&N CAI, and custom exhaust that might havea little to do with that.

I was just wondering since this topic is up. I have the 3.9L and when on the highway it won't got faster than 125km/h in 4th gear with a slight hill. It has trouble with keeping a 100 up a very slight hill. I can get this truck to 80 or so in 2nd gear. Maybe some problem with bottom it has litterally none, lots of top end near 3-4k.

 

I have a 2000 dak, Quad cab, Stock. When i step on the gas it will rev up to about 57-5800 rpms before it shifts. It definatly sounds like it is not performing up to par. What the problem is puzzles me. I would hook it up to a scanner and make sure that everything is reading right.
