Default Bench Seat

I was thinking of taking out the console in my 2000 Dakota and replacing it with a middle seat to make the bench. would the new middle seat simply bolt in or do I need to drill holes? I do realize I would also need the seatbelts. Also would I need a new 4x4shift bezel with cupholders? thanks

I could be wrong but I thought the middle seat was basically just an extension of the passenger seat...basically a 60/40 split bench seat. I think you would have to replace the front seats or at least the passenger one.

the center consol will just unbolt and the fold up seat will bolt right in. I dunno if you will have to change the 4x4 shifter part or not.

I think you would need the smaller bezel around the shifter, if I remember correctly. I have the center seat and the bezel is quite small in the front.

Not sure about bolting up though...
