Any details or advoce about getting the pin out of the gear selector arm? it looks like you hammer it out from the bottom, I hammered on it a few times, but it didnt budge. Idont want to hit the pin anymore in fear of making the portion that sticks out the bottom get a mushroom top.

Finally was able to go down and get the book after all the fires down here in cali. This thing is awesome! There are no individual page markers, just sections, but this thing has to be 1500+ pages and all the pages are just for my 99' and includes 2wd and 4wd. Very happy.
Johnny, I am guessing you have the steering gear like I have as opposed to rack and pinion. I will scan the section on steering for you.
Finch, it says "using a drift of the appropriate size, drive the pin out of the steering column and gear shift lever. Remove the gear shift lever from the steering column assembly." The pic looks like they just use a punch and hammer to get it out. .......hope that helps.
