Resetting Engine Codes
I know the trick to CHECK the engine code (On/Off/On/Off/On), etc...
But my question is about the trick to RESET the engine code. (Disconnect Battery, Turn on Ignition for 15-20sec, Turn Off, Reconnect) Will doing this trick reset the computer and CLEAR the codes?
I've got the P0432 code and I've been just trying to get through my DMV and OBDII tests without having to replace the Cat, and just need to know if this code will continue to shut off. Also, does anyone know how long it takes for the computer to activate itself? I've had it officially reset twice now at a shop, and both times the DMV says the ECU is in a REJECT state. I drove about 15 miles the first time, 35 miles the second.
Thanks in advance!

you need about 100~125 miles and a few cold starts to get it to go thru the initial diagnostics to be ready for smog. Before taking it back I'd yank both o2 sensors and clean them with CRC Electronic components cleaner. yank them out and spray in the exhaust stream openings real good, let them dry and re-install them. this works well for sensors that have been in use 15k or more miles and can improve performance of them (response time).
