I work at a Canadian Tire in the Parts department, 9 times outta10 when people come in with this problem it's the battery. Bring it into a parts store for a free load test, that will let you know. If it's ok, bring the alternator in for a free test. But honestly start with the easiest and cheapest... The battery.

 

if you change the battery and it still does that, then it may be the TPS sensor. my truck did that to me where i had to give it gas or it wouldnt stay running, checked the codes and it threw one for TPS. I changed that and it was fine.

not realy unless ur gna be going hardcore off road, they arnt as good as they brag them up to be...however if your doing steep grades ect yes
