and the 5.9 gets pretty bad mileage. My brother's '00 sport QC (2WD, posi 3.92, no A/C) gets about 15-17, and my R/T gets about 13-14 if I baby it.
I hear the 4.7s and the 5.2s fare much better, and they are more available in a 5spd, which would help fuel economy. Also be aware that 4WD decreases gas mileage.
