2001 dakota coolant?
Wonder if someone can help me... Like to drain/replace the antifreeze in my 2001 Dakota Quad... It has NEVER been done and truck has 70k miles on it... the coolant in the system is GREEN. The Owners manual says to use Coolant P/N: 4267020
I have been searching the internet now for two hrs and I am more confused than ever:
-Some people claim the correct coolant is MS9769 - which is orange in color.
-Some people claim that Zerez's G-05 is the prefered coolant
-Some people claim that I should use the original factory coolant
Sooo - here is my question:
If I intend to do a simple flush (drain system from radiator drain plug and the overflow tank ONLY), what replacement coolant SHOULDI use and which coolant CAN I use without causing any damage to my perfectly fine running truck?
Thx in advance for any help/suggestions/clarifications anyone may give me!

At that point in time and mileageI would be more inclined to a back wash. Prestone do it yourself kits are available at parts stores. Or find someone in your area who does the BG machine method.
prestone green mixed 50/50 w/ distilled water is what ive used in mine...and olsarge is correct, also make sure to clean the heater core well click this https://dodgeforum.com/searchpro.asp...mitbutton=+OK+
I recently Did my system I flushed the entire thing for about 2 hours! So Good luck. I flush forwards backwards, engine one, Back forward for heater core. Turn the hose on full for heater core. I had gunk coming out each time I turned the hose pressure up. There was nothing but water in my system by the time I was done. All the brown was gone everything it worked like a charm.
