thanks for the advice all. I was definitley going to get a water seperator. (I was probably just going to pick up the one avaiable at Home Depot or maybe one at my paint shop.) As for the gun, I double checked the exact spcs on the gun I'm getting against my compressor, and the compressor should be able to keep up, even if it means it'll be running a lot.

best of luck. Remember, when you think youre done sanding, sand it again!!! a paint job is only as good as the prep work put into it. Over time the paint will settle and you may have some "shrinkback" if its not sanded right

thanks, sounds like some good advice. I'm not in a huge hurry to get this done, so I'll take as long as it needs to get the prep done.
