looking for the fuse for CC
Hi
I have a 2000 Dakota 4.7 inmy manual it says there's a fuse for the cruise control. Where the hell do you find it? I have check the fuse box at the end of the dash and the relays and fuses under the hood. I'm totally baffled. does the 2000 even have a fuse for the CC?

Is your cruise control not working?
I'd recommend double-checking the vacuum lines to the cruise control module - if the hose has come loose or dried/cracked then your cruise control won't work. At the brake booster you should have a 2-way splitter - the line that goes upward then across the front of the wiper cowl trough is the line that is used for your vacuum reservoir and cruise control. The hose goes across horizontally for about a foot, then goes into the wiper cowl area - the line is T'd off inside the wiper cowl - one line goes to the vacuum reservoir (basically a plastic tank that helps hold vacuum pressure), the other comes back out through the wiper cowl on the passenger side of the engine bay and leads to the cruise control module.
You can also double-check the wiring connector to the cruise control module, as well as the cruise control throttle linkage cable.

thanks Sincity, but the problem is,it doesn't even turn on. The cruise light doesn't come on but in the startup it does light up. I have already changed out the switches and still no go. I have a OBD interface coming so hopefully that will shed some light on the subject
