Can I use the factory behind the steering wheel controls with a aftermarket radio?

 

not all of them, id just get a remote...

 

I believe there should be a blue remote wire on your new deck, hook that up and your stock steering wheel controls should work. but dont quote me on that. I dont have them.

 

Ok, the reason I ask is that I my truck had an aftermarket Sony cdx-gt200 stereo cd installed in it before I bought it. I didn't know until tonight that I even had the control installed on the back of the steering wheel. lol. Just bought the truck yesterday. Thanks for the information.

 

oops, now I really feel stupid. I thought all SLT Plus models had the steering wheel controls... Mine doesn't.

 

yeah i have the SLT model as well... no steering whelel controls, but the deck i installed came with a nice litlle remote. It's kinda nice to use, and that little tiny tray in the the armrest/junk holder works as a great place to keep it!

 

not with a sony deck no...

 

my panasonic came with a remote and its nice....only problem is that if i go anywhere with the woman she takes over the stereo.

 

hahaha lol all my friends know that if they get in the truck they dont touch any of my controls/settings, especially the radio
