Default fender flares question

hey all. just a quick question... how do u take off fender flares and install them back on again. a friend of mine wants to take his off cause he's got some body work for some rust to be done but not sure if u can just undo a bolt and slowly pry off the flare of if it "has" to be heated. ive heard people say just undo any bolts and slowly pry off and other say you have to heat it. ive seen a video on you tube of a dude that shows repairs on his red dakota .. all kinds of repairs but one shows hiim take'n off the flare with no heat. what u thinK? any experiances with this are apreciated

keep truck'n
d
p.s any ideas on winter tires would be apreciated.. im look'n for either 2 for the back or a set of 4 with some plain black rims.. any good places anyone knows of in canada would be great. or online if there reputable.

you should just be able to unbolt them and then peel off the flares. i did that when i painted my flares black.

Try double sided 3m tape or lock tight blue? I would use the tape thats what they use for chrome handles on vehicles...

ya, just unbolt and pry it off easy. and you will need some double sided tape to put them back on.

and do you want winter tires or just knobby tires? last winter I had sport kings on the back of the 88 and they did pretty good.

thanks and sport kings are just more of a truck tire. I would just go into a tire shop and see what they got. that would be your best bet.

double sided tape is all u need. there are a few clips that u need to take off also besides a few bolts.
