Default problem after lowering?

Ok i did 2 in drop blocks in the rear of my 2000 r/t cc and my factory shocks only lasted about 5 days after that until it started hitting bump stops (I cut about 1 1/2" out of my bump stops) I Installed monroe sensatrac shocks yesterday but i think one is defective right out of the box because only one side bottoms out now... How long will these last do you think? Im planning on buying either drop zone or toxic gas shocks but only a 2 in drop wont hurt new shocks will it?

Were the shock you bought designed for a lowerd application? The reason you are blowing your shocks is because the stock shock throw will not work for a lowered application (or lifted for other members)
