spark plugs, wires, cap&rotor, air filter clean or replace, inspect / replace belts and hoses, fuel filter, bottle of fuel injection cleaner. of course some of that is optional but im betting your truck hasnt had any love since it was purchased.

4.7 engine.
Already cleaned my KN air filter and recharged it.
What are the best plugs? Wires?

if you knew anything at all you would know that your truck doesnt even have spark plug wires since it doesnt have a distributor. for you, I would recommend taking it to a place that does tune ups.

No need to be condescending and nasty. A different poster suggested cables, cap and rotor. OP just asked what is involved. He may be well aware that it is COP. And no distributor does not necessarily mean no cables. Plenty of DIS vehicles have remote coil packs.

bobodean-spark plugs & PCV valve and air filter are about it for engine. The COP boots are a good idea, but the 4.7 Dodge doesn't tear them up like Ford Triton engines, so it's usually not necessary.

Edit: Be sure to apply dielectric grease to the boots to prevent carbon tracking (arcing) and aid in future removal.

Here's the link that helped me greatly with my 4.7plug change...

Pay close attention to the o-rings that seal the coils. If you tear one, or one is already dinked, the guy gives the part number in the writeup.

Well..its obvious that I dont know anything or I wouldnt be asking. I am a self-professing dummy when it comes to my truck.
So, plugs, pcv, and air filter...what about O2 sensors?

They're not generally considered a tune-up item. If you have a couple hundred bucks burning a hole in your pocket and feel like getting frustrated and busting knuckles, sure, why not? But otherwise, leave them alone until they fail.
