Where is the idle senor monted? My truck wont idle no longer and i need to replace it

its on the back of the TB. mines been idling funny and stalling recently too. I took theTPS out and cleaned all the black crap off it, it is a lil better, but I think I'm gonna pick a new one up this weekend.

It's not a sensor-its an Idle Air Control servo, usually referred to as IAC motor or just IAC (and sometimes AIC, for Automatic Idle Control), and they are well known for getting stuck or just plain failing. If you have a scanner with a functional test menu, you can check it's operation and test the circuit. If not, they aren't too expensive and are a good place to start. Try simply cleaning it first and see what happen.
