Default funny fog light problem.

Ok, so I hyave a very odd problem with my fog lights. They wont turn off! I can pull the fuse and they will shut off, but otherwise they will stay turned on, even with the switch in the dash removed ( the factory switch) or with the fog light relay pulled. Hell, I even pulled every single relay and they still stayed on.

So I'm thinking there must be a short somewhere, but where would be a good place to start looking?

do you have the stock fog lights or aftermarket. when I put my aftermarket fogs in they did the same thing. I guess they work off of a ground. so mine were grounding out on the frame. so I just stuck a piece of rubber between it and its been fine.

they are aftermarket, yes. they are also likely grounding to the frame like you said. But they way I have mine installed, it wont exactly be easy to take them back off to insulate them :/

I may have to make a new bracket out of something non-conductive instead of the steel bracket I fabbed up. Oh well.

I looked into the issue today, and it was indeed a ground related problem. I coiuldnt insulate my foglights properly, so I just used the wiring harness that the foglights came with. no big deal, I guess

Ifit were me...I would re-wire the switch so that it is between the light and +12V...
