Default o2 sensor question?

My service engine light came on the other day while i was going down the road. I pulled over and checked all the fluids and made sure that the engine was running sound. I got back on the road and noticed that my truck didn't seem to have the pull that it did before the light came on. It wasn't in limp mode, becausei was able to maintain highway speeds. When I got back home i borrowed a friends code reader and it showed that it was a P0157 Bank 2 Sensor 2. Does anyone know which senor this is, how many there are, and do i need to replace them all? I currently rolled over 80,600 miles, most of which are highway miles.

bank 2 should be on the passenger side... and i believe there are 4 O2 sensors one on each "bank", one before the cat and one after... hope this helps

I recently had the P0171 Bank 1 position 1 failure. It was the O2 sensor upstream (before)the catalytic converter on the left (driver side) exhaust. Yours is the downstream (after) the converter on the right (passenger) exhaust.I foundwhat appeared to be tranny fluid soaking the connector on mine, but had no visible leaks on the rear of the engine or anywhere along the wiring harness. Must have spilled somewhile adding fluid during atranny filter change and service a few months ago. New sensor is about 75 bucks from Napa for the OEM replacement and 100 bucks at a dealer. Hope this helps. Jack

I would only change the one that's definitely failed.Spend a little timeto figure out why itfailed. They're not that hard to get at, so if you get a subsequent failure in another one, then tackle it. By the way, thank God for this forum. I found the source of the fluid leak shorting out my sensorwas the power steering pressure switch (only on the 4.7 engines). Solved my problem. Hope this helps. Jack

replacing them would be a good idea at this point, however you could give cleaning them a shot... CRC Electronic components cleaner... nothing else
