So im looking to get a new TV to replace my old square box! Im planning on getting PS3 too so i for sure need a new TV. So my question is... What kind to get? LCD, Rear Projection and maybe Plasma (althou i might get burn in with plasma playing some video games) So the question is what do i want, 780? 1080? 60hz? 120hz? What size i was thinking 46 with LCD and like 56 with Rear Projection?

1080p if your getting a PS 3 I think thats what they support. With days to come there is BlueRay and HD DvD PS Supports blueray dvd's. LCD is a good way to go, but there is a couple things you want to consider when looking at them:
1. Look at the picture on an angle and see if it looks okay (If you will have a couch sitting around it)
2. Contrast - Check out the color, You can usually change how it looks, so if it doesn't look the best at first try playing with it.
3. What will you be hooking up to the TV (Cable, HD TV, Component etc... )
Now here is the tough part If you go with a flat tv:
Most LCD's don't give as vibrant colors as a Plasma TV. But now they are getting close so it all depends on what you want. With LCD look for a Warranty because one or two pixels might annoy you.
Now here is the big thing With Plasma everyone says oh they burn out fast, Well so does a tube tv.
The Average life of a Plasma TV is 50,000 hours. You would have to leave the tv on for 5.7 Years for 24 hours to burn it out. This tv should last you 25 years. Yes there is risks of burning in the Plasma but it's a break in period of like 100 hours. Just follow precautions and you will be fine.
Personally I would buy a LCD. But plasma is okay too. I have one of each in my house, and they both work fine.
