I have a 99 dakota single cab v6. sport.

I just hit 100720 miles. I just actualy left it at the shop today for brakes and transmission check. The brake light came on about 2 weeks ago as well as the ABS light. Earlier yesterday the check engine light came on. The spedomoter stoped working and only would move when i atleast hit 20 MPH or slowing down it will work till i hit 20 it will just drop even when im moving. The RPMs started reving yesterday and are really high when i hit 2nd gear.

Ive had nothing but problems with this truck, whens it time to give up and sell it or just buy a new car or truck. Ive been wanting a quad cab for soooooo long but dont have the money.

mine has 216,000kms.and is still goin strong. I think thats like 130,000miles.


and its probly your speed sensor that went on your rear axle.

 

abs and brake light could be on due to a bad abs sensor. that's why mine is on right now! probably just the speed sensor like ^^^^ above. mine is a 98 and i have put almost 6,000 miles on it since i've had it. it's almost at 74,000
