Could a stock 5.2 handle a vortech supercharger? what kind of work would have to be done to do so? I'm just wondering.....

Thanks.

These days a Supercharger is a good option but I would go with a STS turbo. Lots of people have been complimenting their systems which seems to be beating out the Supercharger. (Turbo doesn't use no belt DRIVE!) But im sure it could handle it. The 5.9's do.

Without modifications like
forged lower compression pistons
or larger combustion chambers
or re-calibrating the PCM computer for E85 fuel of 105 octane rating
a supercharger on either a 5.2 or 5.9
will cause blown headgaskets and detonation damaged pistons & rings.
