Default Tire size help needed!!!

Sorry for all the posts, but I have a 04 4.7L QC 4X4. I am looking to replace the stock goodyear wrangler rts I have on now. The factory tire size is 265/70/R16, and I would like something that fills the wheel wells a bit better. With the 4X4 the stock tires look a bit small in there. My Dakota has the trip MPG and Temp computer on the cieling andalso has ABS brakes. My question is can I put on a set of Firestone Destination A/T in a 265/75/R16 or even a 270/75/R16 without throwing off my speedo or ABS or MPG computer and also have no rubbing when I turn?? Is thiscafe to do without doing any negative effects?? Thanks

AS far as rubbing, the largest tire I have seen on a 2nd gen. dakota was 33 inches. That was with no lift, the only rub was rough offroading.

quote fro rred "the tires are great. they only rub when i'm doing some offroading that really shoves the tires deep into the wheel wells. but no rubbing during daily driving. i was thinking about doing a 1" body lift, along with new shocks and springs. the tires are 255/85-16 which is the equiv to a 33x10.5 - 16."

Jonny, you were telling rred it was a wonder his tires didnt rub, if that jogs your memory.
Maybe he already has lift, but it didnt sound like it.

ya, he doesnt have a lift. maybe its just the backspacing in rims that make a difference. my 17" R/T rims are different from the 16" rims.

I have 33x12.5x15 and they rubbed badly until I started trimming. They still rub if I am turning and hit a big bump, or am fully turned and backing up.

Ok, so I bought a set of 265/75/R16 Firestone Destination A/T for my Dak. I only went up in height 0.5" just to fill out the wheel wells a bit. Do you guys think this will work well?? Will I have any problems with my ABS or MPG computer, or rubbing in the wells?? Thanks
