Default why do i have an E-fan and a clutch fan??

I used to have an jeep grand cherokee 4.7l that had an electric cooling fan. i just recently bought a dodge dakota with a 4.7l and it has both a clutch fan and an electric fan. Do i need both or can i remove the clutch fan? The dakota is a slug compared to the jeep so i wouldnt mind freeing up a lil power.

So in order to be able to remove the clutch fan i will need to find a more powerful E-FAN and get a new wiring harness that will allow it to run all the time? Would i need to keep the existing fan as well and place the new fan in front of the radiator?

replace it with the viper fan kit and it comes with all the relays and everything you need.
