I used to have an jeep grand cherokee 4.7l that had an electric cooling fan. i just recently bought a dodge dakota with a 4.7l and it has both a clutch fan and an electric fan. Do i need both or can i remove the clutch fan? The dakota is a slug compared to the jeep so i wouldnt mind freeing up a lil power.
So in order to be able to remove the clutch fan i will need to find a more powerful E-FAN and get a new wiring harness that will allow it to run all the time? Would i need to keep the existing fan as well and place the new fan in front of the radiator?
