Experts PLease Help me!
Make sure that all vacuum lines are properly secured and that the throttle cable isn't sticking somewhere. If your gas pedal is sticking when it is cold, it might just be getting caught on something or need to be lubed.
vacuum lines are good and the the cable is just fine. pedal aint sticking either also changed my gasket today it helped with rpm a little but not much. i spoke to a frnd today about my problem an they said i might just need a new throttle position sensor. But thats like 45 freakin bucks!
if putting on a new gasket helped, just try tightening the TB down more. Did you use the TPS sensor from your old TB or the one that came with the 5.9 tb? If you're using the one that came with your new tb, try putting your original tps sensor back on and see what happens. maybe just try re-setting the PCM. disconnect the battery and let it sit for a while. you might get lucky.
ok i just got done taking my tb apart, cleaning it, checking sensors, and putting on new gasket.....it still keeps 1100 rpm at start up! i also took off the negative batt cable to reset the comp...am i screwed?
make sure the butterflys are closing right somtimes the blades can stick and cause a high idle. This can be due to a chip in the tb bores itself, or a over tightend cable, or when you change the linkage the spring can be un-wound.
also make sure your throttle linkage is going under the black guide on the linkage. Somtimes people forget to put it around that and it causes problems.

ok i just put on a new sensor today from a v6 tb, idle is the same.....so "user2006" is there any way to Loosen my cable a little? i mean its got a little slack but im startin to think its the whole problem. the butterflys arent sticking, the bores are good, got a new gasket, ect ect....!
