Did somone already mention reseting the TPS? Throttle position Sensor? If you install it upside down or not right it will idle very wierd.

If that doesnt work, the throttle cable is none adjustable if i remember correctly only the kickdown/tv cable is.

Take a picture of your linkage for me and post it up, then ill take a pic of mine, when i get my truck back and you can compair. Im sure its an easy fix..

reseting the tps? ive heard someone tlk about it but how is it done?

read th sticky up top. You can take it off it could be turned on causing the TPS to think the throttle blades are open, causing a high rpm.

If you take it off and just put it back on and it should only turn like 1/8 of an inch... its not hard and then get a voltmeter and check the voltage on it.

I was always one to think, if it isn't broke, don't mess with it..

OK I FINALLY BROKE DOWN and went to my mechanic. 600 bucks for a fix. He was sayin a bunch of bull an that i needed a stock tb just to ever run well again... screw that.... but i kno the problem now! intake vacuum leak.. anybody kno anything about vacuum leaks? and are they easily fixed?
