RE: Changing Brakes
i know with my 01 the rears shoes come riveted, hey if they're on tractor trailers and stop those 40 ton beasts, then yea id go with riveted in a heartbeat. as for another thing, when doing your rear shoes, take off the other side but leave the shoes assembled with the ahrdware as a reference point. i had to keep taking apart the right side drum cause the clip the slack ajduster cable rides on kept poping out of the shoe, i got to the point where i can do it with my eyes closed, and make sure you have a brake shoe tool, makes everything 10 times easier

Yeah, good idea doing one side at a time,..
And, another good idea getting a hardware kit.
I DO remember that the hardware kit I got did-NOT have the cable-thingy in it. Mine looked just fine
so I reused them,.. Big mistake,.. They both gave me problems. Turned out the cables being that they
X-Number of yrs old, stretched and wouldn't adjust properly. I had to buy those seperatly.
Don't get Bonded shoes,.. They will seperate. (For those who has them and they haven't,..) God-bless ya,
you got lucky.
