Creative Modifications
I did some searching through the archives but did not find much to avail. I'm curious about mods you have done/thought of. I'm looking to mod my Dakota creatively. I'm not so much trying to get anything out of the motor, but making the interior an interesting ride. Obviously, I can buy parts for most things and such. Though, even doing your own paint work seems to bring out some great touches. I'm most likely taking a theme; just like you would in tattoos and such. So what have you guys done creatively? I'm thinking of starting on my dash cover and possibly the guage faceplace.

Ziggy,
That was a great site. Some really awesome work there. Gives some good inspiration. I can't decide whether to theme it high tech or geek it out with comic stuff.

So, I took a pic of the dash and thought about putting blue as an accent into the dash. On the dash cover, I added blue in Fireworks and tried to give it a realistic look. I thought about trying to put some lines into it, but am not sure. I'd like to get input on what can and can't be done.

The "stick" is my flash drive for my cd player.

Alright, so the picture isn't appearing right, but you get the idea.

Gotta love that RT it's all sweet interior. I like the fake leather in red. Must of cost a fortune tho. If you were to paint anything blue, I would do the whole interior at the same time. It will look dumb one peice modded.
I definately agree with you there. I would use the blue as an accent. I wanted to get the blue/white guage face from truckperformance.com. I figured I would carefully pick the accent points. The dash cover, parts of the doors etc etc. Any ideas on the best accent points on the sport interior?

I also plan to accent the seats. I need to take a pic and Fireworks it to get a good pic of it. Should be up today or tomorrow.

Hey guys. Here is my online google photo alblum for the truck. I made 3 photos with blue added in Fireworks. Of course, it can't represent the actual look, but I think it will look nice. Let me know.

Probably the ultimate interior mods short of building custom fiberglass panels:
http://www.phoenix-image.com
They take your stock body panels and can apply a variety of colors/patterns to them - wood grains, granite, camouflage, snakeskin, brushed aluminum, etc.
I had my 03 CC R/T processed with silver brushed aluminum - looked wicked. I also had silver brushed aluminum vinyl on the doors/console/rear seat stripe, Dodge Viper leather seats, suede headliner, billet goodies, etc... Won Best Interior & Best of Show at the 2005 Dakota R/T national meet. In 2006, Darren Alcorn (seen on MAD R/T site) won the same awards for his truck which also had a Phoenix Imaging interior.
