Default Truck wont start

So i have this 2000 Dodge Dakota 4.7L V8 that has a AC compressor that has a seized bearing causing the truck not to start. Does anyone know if there is a belt I can use to bypass the compressor? or know of where i can get a bypass pully until i can get the compressor replaced.

Just buy a belt for the same year/motor without the a/c pulley. It is just a shorter belt. When you go to but it, just tell them you don't have a/c and they will give you the shorter belt.

I bypassed my A/C 2 years ago. I forget the actual size of it, but it was I think 3 sizes bigger then the non A/C belt.

When i checked autozone they told me they didnt make a belt for a 4.7 without AC. Would the belt of another motor work?

Changing the clutch on your a/c compressor is not too hard to do as long as you have the tools. Its much easier to replacethe compressor if you don't mind spending the money. If you decide to go that route, I would get one from your local parts store - they can help you with getting the right tools and if you have to swap it out for any reason, it makes life easier.
If you don't really need your a/c you might try KRCPerfomance or a site like that to see if they have a a/c delete pulley

if the store dont have the non AC belt, the dealer will. They have to make them because it's shown as an option elect for northern climates on the routing diagram.

I haven't ever done this or seen it done on a 4.7 but theres more to it than just having the right length belt. The different pulleys (smooth and grooved) need to be on certain sides of the belt and certain pulleys like the water pump need to turn in a certain direction to function properly. If you do decide to try to bypass the a/c make sure that everything works the right way.
