My wife got into my 2003 dakota this morning and the 4H and 4L switch lights both came on flashing and it seems to be stuck in 4L. Is this something that is a easy fix or is this a dealer item. Any help would be great. New to the forum. We drive a 05 srt-4 and a 03 regular cab dakota and a 92 avenger. My dad is also building a 68 hemi dart should be done this spring

 

that would happen to me too if my wife got into it... sorry just kidding. did you push the neutral button on the 4H ,4Lswitch ? might be the motor on the side of the transfer case ?

 

I called the dealer on it and they said you should only be in neutral when shifting into 4 wheel.I wasn't aware of this I thought you could be in park. SoI put the truck in neutral and switched it from 4H to 2 wheel and the lights stopped flashing and it seems fine now. Thanks for the reply
