Default 1997 Dodge Dakota Power Steering Problems

While driving home the other nightI lost power steering all together. I don't have power steering fluid on the ground where I park, the belts are all intact, and the pump was not making any weird noises. I have power steering fluid. Tonight it "feels" like the steering is getting harder also. Any ideas? No check engine light is on.

Truck is 1997 Dakota Sport, 4x4 5.2liter.

Just because there's no blood on the ground don't mean it ain't bleeding on the inside. Have the system pressured check to see if the pump is pushing fluid. When you checked the fluid, was it a pale blue color and still somewhat clear or was it black and cloudy? I'm leaning towards the pump bit the big one but don't rule out the steering box either, There's a check valve internally of the steering box that could be stuck on thehighpressure side not allowing the pump to push the steering box.
