Should I buy Pro's and Con's
2000 dakota lift kit with 33's on it,V8. Real nice clean taken care of truck but it has 100,000 miles on it. The truck would be for my girlfriend.
What should I look for that goes wrong with these trucks?
What is the good?
Just give me your 2 cents on it. Is it a nice truck or should I be careful with it?

RE: Should I buy Pro's and Con's
The guy is asking $10,000 I am not going to give him that though. I would say it has never been off road. Alot of guys put lifts on truck and all they see is the street.
My question is are they a good truck, what goes wrong with them if anything. I have never had a dakota and just want some imput on them.

I have 140,000 on my v6 and they have all been trouble-free miles. Personally I think they are excellent trucks. The gas milage is a little poor, but the v8 is a great motor. Very comfortable inside and good looks on the outside. Is the lift kit a suspension of body lift? I ask because the ball joints will most likely have to be replaced if the suspension is OEM and the ball joints have never been done.

I would only give hime at most $8000 for it. I think he is in a bind and needs to sell it fast so will be flexible seeing as it has been forsale for a while now.
It is a suspension lift. Yes I do know that with the bigger tires ball joint will go fast. Thats not a real big deal.
