i have a 2000 dakota
driving lights turn on fine, but will not turn off. If I pull the fuse, lights go out, but my high beam light stays on. i have to disconect the battrey to get it to go off.

 

Sounds like you may have a bad headlight switch. If you take it apart, you may find that the rollers in the switch have become stuck or there is a piece of metal causing a constant connection. Be careful when you remove it though, as the rollers are held in by springs.

 

Could also be a bad CTM. I have seen those things do weird stuff when they take a dump.
