Champion Double Platinum for me. Gained an extra 2-4 mpg from changing them.

ORIGINAL: Jr. Mechanic

So, my word isnt enough? In my 3.7 which is the same motor with 2 cylinders chopped off, I put the 3923's in and it made a HUGE improvement to the idle and throttle response. Also made the truck run much smoother.
lol, double coverage... 3923's will be going in soon. 1 questionI have though is how do you get the #3 coil pack out with the cooling lines running across the motor?

marvel mystery oil... substitute up to a quart to clean out the inside of your motor.

I will try that, thanks.

As far as the cooling lines over the #3 coil, when you take the air hat off you will see 2 plastic clamps that hold the cooling lines together on either side of the engine. Pop them loose and there is enough play in the lines that you can split them apart to get the coil & plug out and back in. I think they affect the #4 coil and plug as well.

thanks for the heads up on the plugs, much appreciated.

the mmo is great stuff, over in the 2nd gen ram forum I posted info on my daughters sucess with it... IIRC she went from mid 20's for mileage to the low 30's. she was quite happy with it. once your motors clean, if you stick with high end oils (mobil 1 minimum IMO) you wont have any issues with crap in the motor.
