Default Trying to fix my truck

Ok,so something horrible happend to me 3 weeks ago, someone backed into my truck while it was parked in my apartment building parking lot and pushed it over the curb and destroyed the passenger side tail light. Now after a looooong time and many back and forth i finally found a new tail light, but today when i tried to install it i had a problem getting to the two screws in the back because my truck has one of those bed covers (it came like that when i bought it) and i couldn't open the tail gate.Could it be because it's jammed due to the impact?? Has anyone ever had that problem if u have a truck with a cover??

you have to get the gate down to access the screws for the taillight-they are covered by the gate.

Yea, just drop the tail gate and you'll see the two torque head screws. Also, you can get aftermarket tail lights off ebay for $30-$40.
