this recall has been good for quite some time now. around 2004 i believe. call the dealer with your vin. generally it's a specific batch of trucks with bad ball joints. factories use just-in-time (JIT) inventory. this cuts down on storage. so depending on how long that shipment(s) of bad ball joints lasted and when they were delivered will depend of what trucks they were put on, depending on manufacture date of the vehicle. hope this helps solve any future questions (ex. well my truck falls within the years of a recall, yet my vehicle isnt recalled, what gives?) this is a more generic/logical answer for any recall.
bought our truck last april and called to have uppers checked as hubby was sure thats what we were feeling with the noise.. I just called to see how much to change them.. they were great told me straight bring it in its covered.. Mine were done last aug.....
