any idea on how many mpg's you lose by not fixing the probem? or does it depend on the way you drive and the particular truck?

I honestly don't see any difference on mpg with or without the cel. If anything i might looose maybe 1-2 mpg city, but i do not drive in the city much it is mostly highway. I also drive my truck pretty hard, i do not baby my 4.7 and i get 20-21 highway mpg doin about 5-10 mph over speed limit. Scandel i got my scan tool as a gift and i think they paid like 50 bucks for it and all it does is read the code and clear codes nothing else, not sure where it was purchesed at.

great! thats the answer i was looking for and thought i would hear that...the check engine light is annoying and figured that tool was around $50 too, plus im sure i will use that tool again in the future anyway. it beats paying $300 each for a cat and o2 sensors...thank you!
