Default Tire Size

I'm looking at putting 33x12.50 BFG AT's on my 97 dakota. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if I could do this with a body lift, or will I have to use a suspension? I know that 33's are not too much bigger than what I have in on it right now, but don't want the new tires to rub on the fenders.

from what i understand, even 32's rub without a lift...seems like an aweful lot of money spent to get one inch more of tire in there lol....try doing a search here on the dodge forum. i have read alot of other people comments and what all they have done to fit 32's on their dakotas....

both, what is the point of 32" tires with stock suspension? and they wont clear during full articulation w/ out a body lift...

to be honest i think doing all that work and putting all that money just to put 33 inch tires on is a waste to me. i dont know how much it is to lift a truck but i assume its a pretty penny, plus the price of that size tires is pricey, and the loss in mileage, and screwing around with a new speedo gear...i guess different strokes for different folks, but i can think of a ton of things id rather spend all that money on than just trying to put bigger tires on. no offence to oldblue97, just giving suggestions and letting you wiegh out if its really worth the cost...
