Default Front Brakes

Anybody else think the fronts dont work as much as the rears?

My anti-lock (rears) go crazy when it is wet out....
then when therears release (due to a tires locking up) the fronts do verry little in slowing the truck down.

By the way the truck is an 02 QC Dakota.

I looked and have no proportioning valve....
the front pads look fairly new...
maybe the previous owner put on some CHEEP crappy non-metalic generic pads.

anybody else this problem where the fronts dont grab enough??

TIA

FYI, front breaks do 80% of the braking.

.

correct....fronts should do the majority of the braking, but it seems like the back to the work and when they release, then the fronts aren't doing much (on mine anyway).

What are the front pads suppose to be??.....metalic, semi-metalic??

.
