well, i have a 3.9l magnum which only has one coil for the whole truck, but yes it did not work intermittently... It would usally just happen out of no where, but when driving at higher rev's it would be able to run again.

Fuel pump could do this also, get the codes checked, for 40 bucks rather than spending a couple hundred replacing everything....
