RE: V6 3.9L Supercharger Kit
I just bought a dakota sport v6 a few days ago. (winter beater!) But if you wanted to get more power out of the little 6 without going through the hassle of doing a V8 swap, I would personally install a turbo.(WAY cheaper!)Heck if I have some spare time and a little extra moey for tubing/hoses I'll install my new garett turbo on this little thing for ****s and giggles just to see what it could do. And if you just want a little extra power without spending barely any money, install a V8 throttle body. (have to have V8 throttle cable also!)(make sure you bore the intakes TB port to match the V8 sizeor it's almost pointless!) I also think hughes engines makes cams for these V6's. I was going to install my 400hp+ 5.9 in my V6 dakota but I personally think it's a waste of $$$! Cheaper to buy a dakota r/t and then do the swap....

i bought a 92 dak and yanked what was left of the v6 out, and i stuffed in a 3 spd. 727 torqueflight, with a 318 attached to it.....and did i mention they were out of a 68 plymouth fury, lol. i also have a 03 dakota 3.9 5spd. 4x4 bets mileage i ever got was 20mpg on the highway with 245 70r16 tires, it now has 265 75r16s an i get 14 mpg. as far as the v-8 throttle body it works, but drill the holes in your tps so u can get the throttle response up, and as far as boring holes in your intake, not sure what that guy drives, but my intake has about a 3" by 4" rectangular hole the TB sits on, so there was no borin required, and i used the same ole v6 throttle cable, snapped right on, u do have to change the bracket that holds the cable, 3 10mm head bolts. but a v8 is the way to go, hands down. good luck
