I dont know if you guys saw it, but the march issue of Sport Truck Magazine has a small write up on an air bag kit for the Dakotas. Its from Chassis Tech. Everything comes in the kit. Obviously not to extreme but for someone that wants to do it and doesn't know much about it this would be great. Fits 97-04. http://airbagit.com/product_info.php?products_id=3440

sorry, but they (chassis tech/ airbagit) have very bad reps in the minitruckin world,
i've found more guys who've had bad experiences with them than positive.

i've done some more research, i might be going with a wishbone link instead of the triangular,
they're the same thing just one bar with three mounting points instead of the 2 bars and 4 mounting points for the triangular
i'm also looking into a watts link but no simple kits exist, the parts would most likely need fabbed

heres the digital air management unit i'm gonna be running

The DHC-2102 offers the best of both systems! Vehicle height sensors as well as air pressures sensors are constantly being monitored by the DHC-2002 to offer absolute precision control of the air ride system. Kit includes 4 height sensors as well as 5 pressure sensors (0-150psi included for each air bag, 0-400psi for air tank). All systems have the availability to be controlled remotely through the use of ARR-2000, 6-button remote system.

and i will be getting aluminum tanks, and super re-inforcing the rear so as to limit any risk of blown tanks if i get rear-ended, at 200 PSI apiece, not to mention not being able to drive withou air, they're gonna stay safe

you're gonna have to cut a notch out of your frame above your axle, at least
bolt-ons can either hurt or help you
if you want it to last you should go with a weld on kit,
and dakota parts are not easy to find, most bagged 'kota guys i know fabricate there own stuff

and you will most likely have to ditch the 22's
unless you're a master fabricator
no offense to DF but there are very few low truck guys in here

i'll put some info together for you.
