i was bored the other night and so i made a cardboard and masking tape model of the subwoofer console i'm going to be building

(i wasn't getting any feedback in the other section, so i put it up here)

For that size of box 1 sub will sound better then 2. It is all about air.

it's rough, i just assumed the CD's to be 12" and used them as measuring type devices
it'll have a full 2.15-2.25 cuft of airspace, coupled with a recommended .75 per sub.
if it sounds too bad i'll build a smaller box for one, but i'd rather go big and be happy than play safe and want more

the hood emblem you see might get grafted in,
and now i'm thinking of adding a low "spine" to help with structure, and looks

where are you going to mount that box? obviously it will be much larger to fit a set of 12" subs...

i'm going to put the full size version between bucket seats in my RC
i'm going to build the box and get seats to fit....

i got the mounting rings today so i can get some MDF and start building my box

Looks nice... I would figure 8" subs would be closer to the size of CD's tho...
