Ok, new project for the holiday weekend, other than installing my subs , I am going to try to make a re-shaped shifter. Since I seem to be one of maybe 20 people who bought a dak with a 5speed in 04, I am looking to my own means for a short-throw/modified shifter handle which relocates the position of the ****, as well as clears the cup holder in the console (so very important). My question is concerning the availability of stock replacement shafts. I asked the parts guy at the dealer, but he was worthless. Anyone that works at a dealer would be great if you could help!!! I want this as a back-up in case I screw up terribly. I will post pics in case anyone would like a mock-up/handle made for them once i get it done....Thanks again
