Bumping Sensation felt in Steering...Frustrated
O.k. I have read a lot of post and complaints about this and have tried everything I know to do. Someone please help.
1999 Dodge Dakota Sport V6 2wd. about 47,000 miles
When pressing the break pedal I feel a bumping/popping in steering wheel andin break pedal. Doesn't do itwhen just turning or steeringseams to do it mostwhen pressing break pedal and turning. Feels like something loose in front end.
What I have done so far.......
Replaced all 4 ball joints
Done the service adjustments to steering bolts, brackets as suggested by MFG.
Replaced all break pads.
Re-Alignment.
Greesed everything and that helped for about one day.
I have had it checked five times and no one can find the problem.
It gets worse the longer it is driven, long trips. Short trips does it but not as bad.
Once a month I have to drive to see doctor for about 2 hrs there and back. Now I'm afraid to go because I don't know if the truck is going to break down on me. And am afraid to keep up with traffic on highways everyone gets upset that i'm going under speed limit. Somebody please help.
