could someone tell me which color wire on a 99 dakota is for thepaking lights?

You want the parking lights, or fog lights? Cuz i've heard both refered to as "Driving lights". I assume you mean parking lights. In which case it is a black/yellow wire behind the headlight switch. It's (+). There are twoblack/yellow wires back there, you have to choose which one to use. One of them will work when the dimmer switch is in any of the dimming zones. The other wll work when the switch is all the way in the highest position.

 

BTW what are you using it for?

 

i'm wiring up some westin auxillery lights, and yes i mean the parking lights. Would the wire be mostly yellow with a black stripe or mostly black with a yellow stripe? because there looks to be both of them under the dash, and i found the wire behind the parking lamp fuse and it looked to be all yellow? now i'm more confused then ever??
