Flashing Reverse Lamps
I am trying to alternate flash my reverse lamps and rear flood lights as per the top pic. I have created a wig-wag pattern flasher using an HD flasher and relay. I guess my big question is do I risk frying anything by trying to flash the reverse lamps or are is the circuit completely open when the trans is not in reverse? I know there is an issue where Dodge headlamps cannot be flashed unless you have a special adaptor or it screws up up the computer...not sure if that's the same case for the rear. Thanks,
BD

Our work trucks have some kind of a kit installed that flashes, or "pulses", the back up lights, cargo light on the back of the cab, and front side marker lights. I'll have to see if I can ask one of the fleet mechanics what type of kit is on it. They run it on 5 different trucks, 2 Dodge, 2 Ford, and a GMC,and to my knowledge their has been no problems. These are highway construction trucks, and these lights are operating straight for 10 + hours a day.
