i need to know every possible performance upgrade for my truck. its an 04 with the 3.7L V6. i know "shouldve just gotten the V8" but i like a challenge so i would like to know what stuff they got for my motor and wherei can find it. Thanks in advance.

i wouldve gotten a V8 if i wanted one but its too common for me to build up the V8.

 

not sure whats out there for the 3.7 seeing as its fairly new. i'm guessing cam's and all that goes along with that as well as full exhaust and intake would help it out a good deal. programmer as well but like i said not sure whats out there for the 3.7.

 

i would like to do a full exhaust, motor back, but i cant find headers for it. i aslo wanted to do the cams but again, i cant find them.

 

i dont think anyone makes headers for that motor...i found some for a 3.9, but all i found were headers for a 5.2 and a 5.9...glad i looked, because i foind some for mine for only a little over 200 bucks

 

Problem with buying a v6 and looking for aftermarket parts is finding the parts, there isn't demand because someone would rather do the engine drop, than sit there and tinker if making a v6 one. Thats why there isn't much and it is new, but you'll find more for a v8 before you do a v6, unless of course they put these in stuff other than jeeps and dakota's...

 

its also cheaper to get the 8 unless you like high $$$ per hp...

 

its like buying a moped and then saying i want it to be a crotch rocket, it aint gona happen..

 

there are some upgrades that can be had

there is the fastman tb
a jet chip
maybe a tb spacer
air filters
and exhaust systems

but not much else

good for someone that wants to tinker a bit (ie me) but nothing to extensive which is what i like..

i like my v6 and it has enough do dads to make me happy
