i work part time at enterprise renta car driving cars, today i drove a Mazda 6. it has a LED 7 segment display on the dash that shows the gear you are in. this is on an automatic trans that has 5 gears. it also has the gear shifter made to shift manual or auto, it is spring loaded so you pull it back about one inch or less to collect a gear up then it goes back, to down shift you just push it forward, each push or pull gets one gear, and it wont let you go to a gear you shouldn't, its LOTS of fun. but my question is, this, "is there an electrical engineer that could design an electronic circuit for Dodge trucks that would show which gear you are in?"
