Default RE: Interested in replacing hood emblem?

Pictures are in the 1st post of this thread, look under the ATTACHMENTS.

And, yes batman, one offs are not a problem. That's what I'm planning on doing. As for art work you could simply supply a favorite picture, logo, etc... of what you want and they will handle the conversion and artwork from there.

I know we need no less than 10 to get it started and maybe we can get a little better pricing, Help spread the word to other members of the forum. Does anyone know if these emblems fit other Dodge trucks??? This couldhelp increase the order quantity. I'll contact the vendor and seewhat quantity will provide the nextprice breaks; 10, 20, 50? I've no idea, but sure will findout. I've seen there web site and pretty sure the mopar "M" is a standard unit forcertain newerdodge car, and is like $40. One offs of course are higher... but hey it's one of a kind!

If someone knows how to copy my pictures and post this so they are visible, please do so. And thanks.

Thanks again,
Plymouth Truck

the third one is on a truck,
but i'd like to see a distance also.
and do they have screws or glue?
I will check on the mounting, I believe our Dakota's have a pin or two that help line-up the emblem. And it is only glued on stock. I removed and reattached my stock plastic emblemusing 3M double sided tape to reattach without any loosening problems over the winter here in south central PA.

Also I sent off an e-mail to inquire about the possibility of price breaks. Will post once I have more info.

Thanks!

Update e-mail received from the vendor.

Quote; "See if you can get them to commit on 3 to five designs totaling 25 badges we could do them for 35. each Maybe take a pole on design. That badge I sent you was a piece for a customer that we screwed up somehow and had to replace it. if you go to charger forums in our vendor section there is a sticky VIEW OUR PHOTO BUCKET .Go browse that for inspiration .
Thanks
Dan"

Asked about how the emblems would be mounted "tape/glue" or "bolted", will post when I have an answer.

I will pop off my standard emblem and place the sample (fits a charger I think, so will be smaller), will take and post pictures if your interested? Let me know...

I will try and post pictures of3to 5"standard designs" after browsing the photobucket mentioned, all in an effort to see if we can get enough"standard design"buyersto get that low $35 price[sm=icon_rock.gif]

Standards:
Ram Head
Ram Flexing Muscle
Mopar M
?
? (suggestions anyone? ... Dakota, R/T, V-8, ???)

Thanks!

I'd have to take a look at which one that is, but if it falls under the "Standard" designs. Then if we can 25 folks to buy in... it will be around $35

Update: Yes Blackout04 that is a "standard" emblem and would be $35... as long as we can get 25 buyers of the various "standard" emblems. Since this is a totally new size for the vendor they are set-up, programming, and tooling costs to be covered. Thus the need for 25 unit minimum. So please spread the news. Vendor is also interested in doing RAM's, SRT-10's, R/T's, etc... The more the merrier!

As for a previous question; "How are these mounted Glue/double-sided tap or bolted?"
The vendor got back to me late last night, the units are bolt-on type using stainless steel hardware.

Will try and post more pictures of "Standard Emblems" for people to choose from. Also will post an absolutely incredible 3D machined piece that was a "Special Custom Order" for a Charger owner... and yes it was well over $100as you can imagine. But it does show the skils this vendor has.

Also gave the vendor the site "Dodgeforum" and he may be inquiring soon about becoming a sponsor! That would be great! They have a lot more than just hood emblems!

Thanks!

batman13, here are some other "Standard" designs, and will post a few more of the custom designsas examples of what they can do.
If you could please post them directly into a response as you've done above, that would be great.

Someone asked what are hey made of? Machined block of aluminum, I do notknow the grade of al(IE. 2024, 6061, or the temper T1, T3). They are then powder coated (black seems to be the color of choice) I believe other colors like red and blue are also available.
Then they are machined with the design. They use stainless steel hardware for durability and security - Securely Bolted on.

Standard Designs:

if its super, and a batman logo i might....
they look good, but i have a theme going.

can you do one-offs?
i can send you a pic of a logo once i get it drawn out.

sorry, i was halfway through typin this reply when i saw the pics.
you could upload them to photobucket, and post the full image
Something like this perhaps? *note this one has chamfered edges as opposed to radiused (rounded)edges.
If you've got a picture? that's pretty much all they need to work from, other than how detailed, the more detail the more it costs of course.
