Default weird noise

ok here is the deal. i have a 2001 2wdregular cab dakokta. i'm hearing two different sounds coming from the front end. every once in awhile i hear a slight pop while turning and accelerating and also while turning and braking. i think that might be a brake issue but not for sure. the other soundiskinda weird. it sounds like something rattling when i go over pretty much anything that is not even (creases in the road, the littlest bumps)while driving. it seems to be coming from the driver's side. i looked inder the front of the truck to see if could see anything out of place andnothing could be found. all help is appreciated!!

hey man seems like this is a prevalent problem for the 2wd daktoas! i had the same noises except for the rattling noises.. i had to replace the ball joints and front end bushings.. used poly urethane bushings up front... i have a new extra set if you interested..

Do the 2WDs have sway bars?

Yeah if theres play then it would be the ball joints. I'd check the hub. Seems that lately alot of people have been having problems witha front end noise. I had the noise also, replaced the hub and everything was fine.
